That Time I Watched A Movie....

Yesterday I decided to take a break from binge watching Parks and Recreation (for the 13th time), and instead find a movie to watch.

The movie I picked was Obvious Child (I couldn't figure out why it's called that) staring Mona Lisa Saperstein Jenny Slate and Plop Jake Lacey....

I expected it to be pretty bad, but redeemable by the actors I recognized so easily, and was pleasantly surprised. I also assumed it was a Netflix original, but was actually a real movie with a limited release. From 4 years ago.

Mona Lisa plays Donna, a stand-up comic, who gets dumped and pregant in the same week. She is nothing like Mona Lisa - for those who are familiar- she's not "the wooorrrst." (thank you Jean Ralphio).

Stand-up comedy is pretty much my favorite thing ever (except for dinosaurs) so this was an obvious choice for me.

Plop plays Max, who meets Donna, and wants to date her and the hilarity ensues. He is exactly like Plop in a good way.

I highly recommend checking it out. Mona Lisa's stand-up is probably the best parts. And I really don't want to give anything away, so that's it. Go watch it!*

*Sorry if, when you're reading this, Obvious Child isn't on Netflix anymore.
