That Time I Cruised on the Carnival Paradise...

I apparently lost my ability to write about my adventures... or maybe it's more the sifting through all my photos so that I can then write about them... but I did finally edit my video footage from this cruise and got all most of them on my YouTube Channel! I posted them all below for you, or you can go to my playlist and watch them on YouTube. Likes and subscribes are deeply appreciated!

That Time I Went on a Ferry...

Parking in New York is expensive, but sometimes you need to embark on a cruise there! I have personally cruised on Carnival and Norwegian from New York, and I believe Regent, Aida and some other lines do too. Royal Caribbean leaves from somewhere else in NJ.

You can park at the cruise terminal for $40/day, or you can save nearly half your money by parking in New Jersey and getting a bonus boat ride - on a ferry!...

That Time I Went to Nassau Bahamas... Again...

This was the second time I visited Nassau. Last time was a year and a half ago. And I will be going back three times over the next 12 months.

It's hard not to if you want to go on an inexpensive cruise like I did on the Carnival Liberty, and/or leave out of the northeast.

This time was not all that different from the last time...

That Time I Went to Freeport, Bahamas...

This was my first visit to Freeport, Bahamas, and we didn’t make it very far. Admittedly, we didn’t try. We considered renting a scooter and scootering to the beach, but when we woke up that sounded a little hard and expensive so we decided to save that plan for next time we’re in Freeport… which will be in a year.
Instead, I thought it would be fun to stay within the inner harbor area and go to Señor Frog’s for lunch. I came up with this plan when I looked out our window and saw that we could practically spit on the Señor Frog’s from our balcony...

That Time I Went to St Thomas...

St. Thomas was my last stop on my 11-day Thanksgiving NCL Gem cruise. What I was most excited about is that St. Thomas is one of the US Virgin Islands (as opposed to the British ones) which meant: cell phone service!!!

**waits for reader's to get over the fact that I "should unplug because I'm on vacation" which is not something I want to do**...

That Time I Went to St. Lucia...

I recently visited St. Lucia on an NCL Gem cruise. St. Lucia was the third port stop and we actually went on an excursion!

As a promo when booking the cruise, I had $50 credit for excursions which made me more inclined to go on one. I still didn't want to spend a lot of money as it's $50 total for me and Husband, not each, so I looked at the least expensive options in each port...

That Time I Went to Ensenada...

West coast here I am was!

I got to be on the West Coast for the first time since I was like 3, and took the opportunity to go on a li'l 3-day jaunt to Ensenada, Mexico via the Carnival Inspiration.

None of the excursions seemed worth the cost so we decided to just do some exploring and get some delicious tacos!...

That Time I Went To Bermuda...

I just visited Bermuda for my first time as a port stop on a 4-day Carnival Horizon cruise from New York. It was a special sailing that unfortunately won't be offered any more in the future as the Horizon has permanently moved to Miami.

Since we'd already spent a fair amount on the cruise, I didn't want to add any cost to our trip by booking excursions. Instead I found out where the ship would be docking and used Google Maps to find some stuff to do...

That Time I Went to a Cruise Port...

I'm leaving TODAY on just a li'l 4-day cruise to Bermuda on the Carnival Horizon. It will feel like going home after spending 14 days on it this past May!

And here are all the things I like to bring with me on cruises for when we got off the boat at the ports...

That Time I Went To Halifax...

The last stop (finally!... 4 months later...) on my transatlantic Carnival cruise was Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

This was the port I was most excited for because we had a duck tour scheduled. Every time I'm in a city that has them, I've wanted to go on one, and I was finally going to!...

That Time I Went To Vigo...

Vigo was my last European stop on our transatlantic cruise. I've never heard of Vigo, outside of the villain from Ghostbusters II.

We were pretty exhausted from the jet lag followed by three other ports so we didn't plan much...

That Time I Went to Libson...

The third stop on our Transatlantic cruise was Lisbon, Portugal. This was Husband's most anticipated stop so he made an agenda for us.

A lot of our fellow cruisers opted to see the city via "tuk-tuk" (like a pedi-cab but with a motor), but we were happy to see the city on foot and burn off some of our cruise-food calories. We got off the ship and headed for the Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara - a "landscaped terrace with a fountain offers panoramic views of the city"...

That Time I Went to Gibraltar...

One of the port stops on our honeymoon cruise was the city of Gibraltar; a self-governing British Overseas Territory, located on the Iberian Peninsula.
We were scheduled to be there for the earlier part of the day (7am-3:30pm) so we knew we wouldn't have much time there cause we're not good at waking up, but we knew we wanted to go to the "top of the rock [of Gibraltar]"...

That Time I Went to Malaga...

Of all the cruise ports we have visited, this was the longest time span we've had to explore, due to the closeness of the following port: 9am-9pm. We took advantage of this opportunity to be in port later in the day so that we could have local food for dinner, and spent the morning on board and headed off after lunch....

That Time I Went to Nassau, Bahamas...

The last stop on my cruise last month was to Nassau, Bahamas. It was drizzle-y the whole day so it's hard to review, per-se, but here's how we spent the day.

First I took a bunch of photos from the ship. They would have been prettier if it wasn't raining... I'm pretty sure.
My list of things I wanted to do happened to include 3 indoor things which worked out great given the weather: Pirate Republic Brewery, Senior Frogs (for lunch), Pirate Museum, and beach...

That Time I Went to Great Stirrup Cay...

One of the stops on my recent cruise was at Great Stirrup Cay (pronounced "key"... look it up).

GSC is owned by Norwegian cruise line so the only way to visit it is to cruise there (specifically on NCL)...
